Our Story

Thank you for considering Freedom Cookies. We are a veteran- and family-owned business, and baking has always been a way for our family to come together, create memories, and connect. Just like families gather around the dinner table, our most meaningful moments—birthdays, celebrations, and holidays—have always started in the kitchen.

When you support Freedom Cookies, you are supporting a family with three generations of military service, with hopes of a fourth. Eli's Mom, was one of the first—if not the first—female small arms repairers in the Army. She was on track to earn her wings at jump school but chose family when she became pregnant with my husband, Eli. Inspired by her strength and integrity, Eli carried that legacy forward by serving in the Army as well, including time in Special Forces, before being honorably discharged.

Our son, Aiden, now a junior at Utah Military Academy in St. George, will soon face a similar decision. While continuing the military legacy is meaningful, he has also developed a deep passion for baking—especially brownies—which has been a constant throughout his childhood.

So how did Freedom Cookies begin? Eli, who was also a professional cage fighter for over a decade, has always enjoyed sweets while maintaining a clean lifestyle—focusing on organic, gluten-free ingredients and avoiding processed foods and seed oils. I grew up baking alongside my mom, creating multi-tiered cakes and decorative cookies for every celebration. Aiden naturally joined us in the kitchen, happily licking bowls and spoons and developing his own love for baking.

As our family has grown and changed, with older children now out of the house, the three of us found ourselves returning to what has always brought us together. With Aiden now 16 and sharing that same entrepreneurial spirit as his dad, we realized baking had been right in front of us all along. That’s why we are excited to introduce the soft launch of Freedom Cookies—a business built on family, tradition, and a love for creating something special to share with others.
